On Ramp at The Box is designed for people of all fitness and experience levels. This program will evaluate each member’s current fitness level and build from there, teaching technique and how to scale components appropriately. There is no need to “get in shape” before you come try it. Start on your own or with friends!
The Box’s On Ramp program will teach you all of the fundamental CrossFit exercises that are found in regular classes, as well as the Olympic Lifts (Snatch, Clean, Jerk). The course begins with a CrossFit101 class hosted every Saturday. CrossFit101 will serve as a spring board for athletes to begin On Ramp and will include both classes 1 and 2 in our 12 class series. Each session (including CrossFit101) contains instructional components followed by a workout.
How much does it cost?
On Ramp is included in your membership. After your 7-day free trial we will help you sign you up for a membership option that works for you. With your membership, you get the entire 12 session program, including hands-on and individual coaching and then progression into our general classes. If our structured class times do not work with your schedule, then individual personal training classes can be set up for $150 (up to 7 sessions). If you have a small group of friends (at least 3) that want to complete On Ramp together on a specific schedule then we can do that at a discounted rate. When Can I Start?
After signing up for your Free 7-day trial here, RSVP for our CrossFit101 classes that occur every Saturday from 11:00-12:30pm. This class is where every new person starts and it is a great way to preview CrossFit while teaching you some of the basics. After you complete your CrossFit101 class, we will set you up for the next On Ramp sessions available starting on M/W/F at 5:30am or 7:30am, M/W/F at 6:30pm, or Tue/Thur/Sat at 9am or 5:30pm. What should I bring to the On Ramp?
The only thing you really need to bring to the On Ramp is you, excited and ready to workout. You will run a short distance on your first day so wear clothing and shoes you are comfortable running in and layer clothing as the season indicates. Make sure you EAT about an hour before you come in and bring something to drink. We also ask that you arrive 10 minutes prior to your first class day to fill out the proper paperwork. Other than that, have fun, ask as many questions as you like, and push yourself to see what you can really do.
